Rebuilding the Temple

On September 21-22, 1989, Hurricane Hugo ripped its way through the Carolinas. No hurricane since Hurricane Camille in 1969 had a storm of such intensity made landfall in the United States. Part of that destruction was rendered to our upper story temple which suffered water damage from a storm swept roof. In lieu of extensive repairs the lodge decided to construct a Temple on the second floor.

The roof was repaired but our upper story Temple still lies in ruin. Many of our members have visions of resurrecting our Temple to its former days of glory. Stay posted in our progress as we rebuild the Temple.
